Vox 0.2.7 released

April 3, 2010

The final version of Vox 0.2.7 is now available at http://www.voxapp.uni.cc/

These are the last changes from the RC3 version:

  • Media keys support
  • Load last opened file option
  • Use single menubar icon option
  • Playlist submenu in dock menu
  • Always enabled next and previous buttons with files in playlist
  • Bug Fixes

NOTE:
In Snow Leopard, the "Play" media key will always launch iTunes; a simple workaround is to keep opened the QuickTime Player in background.
This is a known bug (not fixed in the current 10.6.3), and is also discussed here: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2122639

Go Back

One more time, great work Alessio... testing it right now :) I'm really excited with the future of Vox and his new features. Thanks is the only word what I can say. Greetings from Chile.

if i were a girl i would give you a baby, alessio. i have good genes.

Hi Alessio,

Thanks for the great app, and its continuous development, also for keeping it so plain. I use it about every day.

I've had the RC1 or 2 for a while, but with the RC 3 (this release) I have a interface problem, as shown on this img I uploaded (linked below)

I'm running it on a PPC G4 1gHz, with 10.5.8 on it. Besides that it is working as it should...

Is there a page where one can download previous (beta) releases? I have 0.2.6 now, but would like to get back to the previoues RC's.

Anyways, here's the img. As the sliders don't line up with the progress line, it is difficult to master them. The dot gets out of sight when the line reaches the end of the bar.

thanks for the silence! Whatever...

I love your app, but there are still couple of comments:
First, it still stammers while playing back the ape files.
Second, now, when it supports cue files - what's the mess with naming during export?

Nice article, i appreciate for putting this together! "This is obviously one great post. Thanks for the valuable information and insights you have so provided here. Keep it up!"
